Diese werden in drei Grundkomponenten gegliedert: Zugang (Access), Auswertung (Evaluation) und Nutzung (Use). Unter den Komplex <i>Zugang<\/i> f\u00e4llt die Definition und Artikulation des Informationsbedarfs sowie die F\u00e4higkeit zur Lokalisierung der Information. <i>Auswertung <\/i>ist hier die Analyse, Interpretation, Auswahl, Zusammenfassung und Bewertung vorhandener Information sowie ihre Organisation (d.h. Anordnung, Kategorisierung etc.).
